Wordsquared is an online word-tool platform that helps users solve word puzzles, discover vocabulary, and enhance their word-game strategy across games like Scrabble, crosswords, Words With Friends, and more.
Users can search dictionaries, find high-scoring word combinations, unscramble letters, and generate words based on specific criteria all through an intuitive, browser-based interface. Users simply input letters, criteria (length, start/end letters, containing letters), and Wordsquared returns relevant word results to assist gameplay, learning, or creative writing.

RESEARCH
User needs were centered around the frustration of manual word lookup and strategy calculation in games like Scrabble or crosswords. Competitive tools and word-solver services were examined to ensure comprehensive word databases, flexible search filters (length, containing letters, starting/ending letters), and responsive results. The design focused on simplicity for both casual and advanced users, improving accessibility and engagement for word enthusiasts.
